The El Paso Museum of Art Foundation seeks to fully support the El Paso Museum of Art in its endeavor to become the cultural flagship of our community and a premiere center for the arts with a commitment to regional, national and international themes and artists. The Foundation strives to assist the Museum in fulfilling its goal to share – with as broad an audience as possible – the transformative power of the arts by perpetuating the highest professional standards of care and management of the art collections, exhibitions and programs. The Foundation and the El Paso Museum of Art are partners in ensuring that this cultural institution remains a beacon of excellence and inspiration to the citizens of El Paso, our region and beyond.
Our mission is to create a permanent endowment in order to assist the El Paso Museum of Art in its quest for artistic excellence through stellar exhibitions and programs, conservation and preservation of the collection, education and interpretation and acquisition.
Founded in 1998, the El Paso Museum of Art Foundation is a Texas Non-Profit Corporation – a 501c3 organization under the Internal Revenue Code. It is organized exclusively for the benefit of the Museum to provide long-term funding for acquisitions, conservation/preservation, education and interpretation, and related areas of Museum functions not provided for by the City of El Paso’s operational funding. It is governed by a board of individual El Paso citizens, with committees for Development, Planned Giving, and Investment.
